Mind Game by Christine Feehan - GhostWalkers 2 E-mail

Mind Game - GhostWalkers 2Imagine meeting someone that with one touch can remove any hurting you have such as migraines, joint pain, nausea, dizziness.  Someone that complements you so totally that being with them heals your heart, soul, spirit and body.  That is what Nicholas Trevane does for Dhalia.

I think what I love the most of the GhostWalker men is that they know when they’ve met their ideal mate.  It was the same way with Ryland and so it is with Nico.  The women are the ones that need convincing (for a nice change).

I am a bit sorry to say I did not enjoy this book as much as I did Shadow Game.  I think perhaps it has to do with the fact that I could not relate as much with Dhalia as I could with Lily.  Without overanalyzing it, the evolution of the storyline was not very clear to me.  I had read about 2/3rds of the book when the main storyline became clear.

What is still as sizzling hot as any Christine Feehan novel is the attraction and the love scenes that this couple shares.  I love how possessive Nicholas is, and how he makes sure he controls that possession so that Dhalia may come to him freely.  I love how open and honest Dhalia is.  Mixed in with her innocence its is enchanting.

n the GhostWalker theme, though, this book is important as more of them are discovered, and Dhalia shares her own hell while training with the late Dr. Whitney.

FROM THE BACK COVER

Possessed of an extraordinary telekinetic gift, Dahlia Le Blanc has spent her life isolated from other people.  And just when she thinks she’s finally achieved some semblance of peace, her well-orchestrated world comes crashing down…

For a reason she cannot guess, she has become the target of deadly assassins.  Suddenly no place is safe – not even the secret refuge she’d established long ago.  Now she must rely on Nicolas Trevane – a dangerous warrior sent to track her down and protect her.  Together they generate a scorching heat Dahlia never imagined was possible.  But can she trust this man with her secrets – especially when some people would kill to get their hands on them?
