Lover Enshrined by J.R. Ward - Black Dagger Brotherhood book 6
Wow! Wow. Sometimes you think you have read a good book, then something like this comes out and you know bone deep there are few things like it out there. I cried several times throughout the book and toward the end thought I would be disappointed, but I wasn’t; just two pages made me want to worship J.R. Ward. Phury’s story is mixed with many others but you “feel” the connection with Cormia. There were good news in this book, but there were a lot of losses as well. I love how cormia starts “finding” herself and then telling off the Primale. Here is the thing about the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, J.R. Ward manages to create flesh and blood individuals that practically materialize before you. Not only that, she makes you LOVE them “truly, deeply” like the song says. I am so excited about what the future holds for John Matthew, for Rhevenge and for the Chosen. Payne has mommy issues as well.
The Darkest Kiss by Keri Arthur - Riley Jenson Guardian Novel #6
I enjoyed this 6th book in the Guardian series very much. Riley is better behaved now because she is nursing a broken heart, but at least that awareness of all male presence is still there. I must confess when I first read the previous novel to this one, Embraced by Darkness; I thought Riley was a bit of a slut. No, strike that, a total whore… She slept with every man that stepped on her path! With the excuse that in order to find her one “true” love she had to have sex, especially during the full moon (Riley is half werewolf). Quinn is back, which I absolutely LOVE, I think that dark brooding vampire thing is so sexy. I guess Buffy’s Angel and then Spike and then Mick on Moonlight helped romanticize vampires.

I could not even finish the book, two weeks passed and I could not force myself to read it.It is true that perhaps my taste for the Historical Romance genre has died, but I had hoped not. What bothers me about the book is the back and forth of two storylines, which I guess will turn out to be one and the same, plus the lack of consistency of the characters (the parents especially), sometimes they are kind, sometimes they are greedy and selfish.
Mind Game by Christine Feehan - GhostWalkers 2
Imagine meeting someone that with one touch can remove any hurting you have such as migraines, joint pain, nausea, dizziness. Someone that complements you so totally that being with them heals your heart, soul, spirit and body. That is what Nicholas Trevane does for Dhalia. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0515138096?ie=UTF8&tag=solbarreraw&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0515138096)I think what I love the most of the GhostWalker men is that they know when they’ve met their ideal mate. It was the same way with Ryland and so it is with Nico. The women are the ones that need convincing (for a nice change).I am a bit sorry to say I did not enjoy this book as much as I did Shadow Game. I think perhaps it has to do with the fact that I could not relate as much with Dhalia as I could with Lily. Without overanalyzing it, the evolution of the storyline was not very clear to me. I had read about 2/3rds of the book when the main storyline became clear. What is still as sizzling hot as any Christine Feehan novel is the attraction and the love scenes that this couple shares. I love how possessive Nicholas is, and how he makes sure he controls that possession so that Dhalia may come to him freely. I love how open and honest Dhalia is. Mixed in with her innocence its is enchanting.

Because of those titles I was drawn to the GhostWalker Series. Shadow Game is the first book in that series. Ryland and Lily are a wonderful couple, you can feel they are meant for each other from the first, and better than that, they feel it themselves. One of the beauties of romantic fiction is just that, the stuff dreams are made of. Love at first sight so to speak.They are named ghostwalkers because they can go unnoticed into any situation. Their basic talents have been enhanced so that they are super soldiers – telepathy, telekinesis, you name it. Their leader is Captain Ryland Miller and he is trying to get his men out of the facility where they have been incarcerated because their power has gotten too strong. They can plan and help each other out even while separated, but their powers can weaken them with extended use.You should beware, this title made me blush from the first chapter until the final one. Hot descriptive sex is all over it, one of Mrs. Feehan’s stronger talents and she definitely does not disappoint.

Evermore by Lynn Viehl
Night Lost (http://www.romance-library.com/books/paranormal-romance/night-lost-by-lynn-viehl.html), there were a couple of story lines intertwined in this book and if the effect the author wanted was to have me panting for the next book release, she can be completely satisfied, I´ve already pre ordered Twilight Fall (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0451412591?ie=UTF8&tag=solbarreraw&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0451412591), which should be out by July this year.
