This article describes how to insert your ConvertKit Landing page into your WordPress website. You will need to have a FREE ConvertKit account (Click Here to open one)* and a self hosted WordPress install.
Create Landing Page
To set this up login into your ConvertKit account and click on “Landing Pages & Forms”.

After this you will be shown ConvertKit’s more than 50 templates for landing pages. Choose one that suits your needs and replace your text with the one in the sample template.

Install ConvertKit Plugin
Once your landing page is created in your ConvertKit account you need to install the ConvertKit plugin. Click “Plugins, Add new” to search for the plugin in the WordPress repository. Once you install it you need to activate it in order for it to work.

Add Your API information
The ConvertKit plugin for WordPress needs to connect to your ConvertKit account and it does it through the API. No you don’t need to know what an API is or how it works, all you need is to go to your ConvertKit account under your user icon go to Account, in the account info (the first page in your account area) you will find the API Key and the API Secret. You will need both these codes to connect the plugin.

In your WordPress dashboard under “Settings > ConvertKit” you will see where to put those API codes. Click save at the bottom of the page once you are done adding your codes. To see if the connection has been successful click on “Refresh forms” to see a list of the forms and landing pages you have created in your ConvertKit account.

Create a Page for your Landing Page
Now you need to create a page in your WordPress website. Go to “Pages > Add new” to create a new page. Give it a name and publish it immediately. If you look at the bottom of the page you have created you will see a box with ConvertKit as title. This is where you can choose either a form to show in this page or substitute the page for your ConvertKit landing page.

Connect Your Page with the ConvertKit Landing Page
On the ConvertKit area in the page choose your landing page from the dropdown menu. Save/Update your page.

Now when you view the page the ConvertKit landing page will be the one that will show at that URL.
